After Hours: TommyXGigi

After Hours: TommyXGigi

From the neon-lit cobbles of Rivington Street to the starry lights of Shoreditch’s Ace Hotel, East London is a party girl’s dream destination. Where better to carry on the celebrations after the Tommynow Rockcircus runway? Complete with A-list guests and live music from The Chainsmokers, the show was held in Camden’s iconic Roundhouse and featured swoon-worthy looks from the men’s and womenswear collections. The jewel in the crown? Perhaps the latest TommyXGigi collection – a sleek offering peppered with ‘90s references and shiny black PVC. To die for. Or dance all night in, depending on your preference.

London was calling, and our girl was keen to carry on the party even after the lights had been turned on. There’s always something fun happening somewhere in this city. We followed her from Camden to the style set’s favourite East London haunts wearing the new TommyXGigi collection – every girl’s perfect after-party PIC.

Famous for their chic eclecticism, London’s style tribes are an ever-evolving group of fashion lovers that make the city’s style scene one of the most exciting in the world. Which is why fêted designer Tommy Hilfiger chose to host his latest runway show here, in one of the capital’s most influential music venues. It was a night of glittering hedonism and unrivalled style in a place where artists from Pink Floyd to Jimi Hendrix famously cut their teeth. A true celebration of the close relationship between fashion and music.

Talking about the collection (which features oversized puffas, Gigi Tees and an indulgent silk slip), Mr Hilfiger said he wanted to take his show on the road “like a rock ‘n’ roll tour”, and that its purpose was to “celebrate the connection between fashion and pop culture”. The girls who wear TommyXGigi know how to have a good time, just like the collection’s eponymous collaborator, Gigi Hadid. That’s why we’ve followed a London it-girl out into the night for a series exploring how the city’s glamorous locals wear the collection. Complete with a super-model seal of approval, no less.
