FLANNELS Five: Of The Best Winter Boots

FLANNELS Five: Of The Best Winter Boots

Not to sound like your secondary school geography teacher, but we’re adamant here at FLANNELS that there’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. Or, to illustrate our point, inappropriate shoes. Hopefully you’re not daft enough to venture out in a pair of canvas trainers in the rain, but we felt the need in this age of sneaker hype to point out that there is no better footwear than a pair of sturdy but stylish boots come winter. They are essential to maintaining a social life whilst simultaneously keeping your feet dry as the weather draws in and the urge to hibernate gets stronger. No one wants to get to work with soggy toes or have to stay in all the time for fear of trench foot. We digress. Here are our favourite boots of the season.

Moncler Vancouver lace up boots

These boots have a sort of hiking-chic appeal that fans of the luxe Alpine brand Moncler will love. Suitable for both the city and après ski. A highly versatile boot.

Valentino Rockstud Chelsea Boot

We can’t promise that these stylish suede Valentino Chelsea boots will fare well in the rain, but they will look great in most other (dry) weather. Wear to dinner or work.

Saint Laurent Wyatt jodhpur boot

You don’t have to be into horses to appreciate these classic Saint Laurent jodhpur boots. The creamy suede is far better suited to elegant engagements in the city than the paddocks. A boot for the man about town.

Off-White x Timberland velvet boots

A rugged staple gets the streetwear treatment with this cult collaboration between Off-White and Timberland. Workwear meets high-fashion with a blue-collar silhouette and a luxe velvet finish.

Giuseppe Zanotti Tyson leather lace up boots

Boots are a big-ticket staple come winter, so why not indulge your luxurious footwear fantasies with this zip-embellished pair by Giuseppe Zanotti? Decadent and on-trend.
