Style Advisor: How To Do Denim in 2021

Fresh fits, need-to-know brands and the comeback ‘90s icon: 2021 denim is shaping up hot. From the season’s must-have wash to the staple every wardrobe requires, start building your SS21 denim collection with the help of streetwear favourites Palm Angels, Off-White, Evisu and more.

The coolest denim brand of the ‘90s and ‘00s has cemented itself as the go-to jean of the 2020s. Instantly recognisable for their signature hand-painted seagulls that adorn the back pocket, they come in a whole host of washes and styles, but it’s their indigo offering that we’re doubling up on thanks to the brand’s in-demand Applique Denim Jacket.

The jean de jour? Light washed, straight legged and made of stiff denim. Off-White’s Diagonal skinnies tick all the boxes. Just add a signature Caravaggio Boy sweatshirt in crisp white, their twist bomber in light shades of purple and chunky trainers in the shape of the Odsy 2000 Runners.

The centre piece of any spring coat collection? A light-wash denim jacket. Palm Angels have crafted a near perfect specimen in the shape of their Logo Denim Jacket. Pair with everything from party attire to weekend casual. Our personal favourite? Track pants, a baseball cap and a statement tee. Ideal drinks, dinner or walking attire.

Whilst the death of the skinny jean was savagely declared a mere six months ago, the AW21 collections quickly corrected the rumour with an outbreak of slim-fitting styles. We’re starting early with these grey suede ones from Amiri, which are scattered with our new love for rips and pair just right with a statement tee for night and varsity sweat for day.
