Who better to front our latest campaign than two of the music world’s freshest young stars? Shot by Notion, Olivia Dean and Knucks showcase the season’s key pieces - dressed head-to-toe in Gucci’s matching prints, cartoon characters and clashing colours - and give a glimpse into their soon-to-be obsessed over lives.
Born and raised in Walthamstow, Brit-school alumn Olivia Dean has won over fans with her knack for mixing witty lyrics with easy, laidback melodies (you won’t be surprised to hear she’s worked with producer/songwriter Oli Bayston of Lianne La Havas and Lily Allen fame).
With her first EP, OK Love You Bye, released at the end of 2019, her second will follow shortly, alongside a debut album and the long-awaited return of live music (she’s just sold out two nights at the Jazz Café in a hot five hours) - all at the age of 21.
At 26, South Kilburn-raised Knucks is already something of a veteran. The rapper has been MCing since he was 12 and had taught himself to produce by 15. Citing rapper Nas and singer Sade as his inspirations, his tracks pay tribute to those who came before him, with soulful, jazz-inspired beats, clever lyrics and plenty of pop cult references - from Breakfast at Tiffany’s to Home Alone.
From defining their style and their musical influences to what they’ll be getting up to this festive season, get to know our future icons a little bit better…
