On Trend: Four Looks From Paris Fashion Week To Wear Now

As the fashion pack returns from a month of runway shows in New York, London and Milan we take a look back at the best-dressed guests from Paris, the fashion month finale and grande dame of haute style. Paris street style is all about statements and details – from pearl-encrusted hair slides to biker shorts and pant legs so wide you could park a bus in them. Here are our favourite looks of the week and how we’ll be recreating them at home.

SEEING RED

Red is firmly in the colour spotlight with the style set opting to double-down on the saucy shade for their Paris outings. Go matchy-matchy with scarlet RTW and accessories, or break the rules and team with vibrant pops of pink. We’ll be cherry-picking the best for SS19.

THE CYCLING SHORTS

It may be unexpected, but cycling shorts and their tailored counterparts are making a comeback this season. A slew of influential street style stars tapped into the trend at PFW – wear with a boxy, lightweight jacket and sock boots. Just don’t call them pedal-pushers, this isn’t 1999.

LADYLIKE REBELLION

A return to elevated dressing with a twist. Combine prim and proper classics like a tweed dress and double-breasted blazer with fashion-forward, ultra-glam accessories. Saint Laurent’s platforms and a velvet studded Valentino belt bag lend signature Balmain pieces an air of youthful rebellion.

TECHNICAL MINIMALISM

The allure of minimalism is its ease, simplicity and elegance. Always chic, this season it’s had an update with the addition of technical fabrics and sports-inspired silhouettes courtesy of Prada and Valentino. An urban uniform for the modern woman.
