On Trend: London Fashion Week Street Style

As street style goes, London has a reputation for directional self-expression and a slightly eccentric but very chic approach to dressing. This LFW didn't disappoint. Find out more with our stylish roundup of the best trends seen on the capital's streets this Fashion Week.

THE ACCESSORY: WHITE BOOTS

Spotted across the capital, white boots (and bags) were the fash pack’s new season accessory of choice at LFW. Fresh and modern, they’re the perfect partner for your favourite boyfriend jeans and an elevated sweatshirt.

THE STYLING TRICK: COLOUR BLOCKING

Colour block outfits can seem pretty daunting, but are surprisingly easy to wear. Max out on colour and break it up with a tartan check courtesy of Burberry if it feels like a bit too much. Usher in the spring with vibrant primary colours and super-luxe accessories from Saint Laurent and Gucci.

THE PATTERN: CHECKS

Houndstooth, tartan, gingham and plaid. Check is SS18’s must-wear pattern seen on coats, trousers, suits and skirts. Double up with a two-piece or wear the transitional season’s must-have jacket, a blazer, with colourful leather accessories, booties and a smart pelmet skirt.

THE COLOUR: PINK

Spring is no stranger to pink, and this year is all about hot-house shades and candy hues. Fendi does it best with co-ordinating pieces and discreet but on-trend logo finishes. Wear with black accents while the weather is cold and swap in mules when the mercury begins to rise.
