On Trend: The Best London Street Style

This season’s London Fashion Week Men’s schedule was packed with new and established designers. Some of the best young talent showed alongside long-standing Brit favourites, and the fashion pack descended on the city for a few days of the world’s most directional design. Outside the show spaces, street style took centre stage. London is famous for its anarchic attitude and eccentric style – it’s a place where anything goes, and this season’s show-goers didn’t disappoint. From head-to-toe Burberry check, ugly trainers (the Balenciaga Triple S and Gucci Rhyton Runners made more than a few appearances), to sweats worn inside-out, belt bags and cargo pants to cross-body bags, there were a few stand-out trends this season at LFWM. Here’s how to wear them.

London style is nothing if not bold, and a full-look Gucci tracksuit worn with belt bag and matching sneakers is nothing short of genius. Redefine sportswear with a shining track top and matching logo bag.

The early noughties may not seem like that long ago, but the era is having a revival. Channel the trend with Matrix-inspired shades from Dior and slick, long-line outerwear by Valentino.

Bowling shirts and their Cuban counterparts were seen on style-savvy show-goers throughout the weekend in London. Wear with cargo pants and athletic sneakers to give an old classic a new lease of life.

A multitude of utility pockets, practical outerwear, harnesses, belts and buckles in techy fabrics and metal finishes characterise the high-tech trend. Look to the future in Lanvin’s cutting-edge trousers and a Palm Angels hoody.
