On Trend: The Season's Best Dressed Men

Spring/Summer 2017 has proven to be a season of almost perpetual sartorial highs. The men in our style conscious have been doing a great job at championing unique, self-possessed aesthetics, and we could all do with taking a leaf out of their books (whilst maintaining our individuality, of course). From Stormzy’s bold approach to mono-colour sportswear, to David Gandy’s casual tailoring, these are the men who have nailed style this season.

TINIE TEMPAH

Always immaculate and with an incredible taste in clothing, Tinie Tempah executes looks that are balanced, considered and sleek. Even in a cardigan. We’re very much in to his use of understated colour and texture. Sure to be one of Autumn/Winter’s key pieces, be sure to invest in a luxe iteration of this knitwear classic – no longer just for Grandpa.

STORMZY

The first act to perform on Later . . . With Jules Holland in a tracksuit, grime icon Stormzy has, whether deliberately or not, given sportswear a good name. Whilst we can by no means attribute the elevated positioning of premium athletic gear solely to his name, we do commend how he pulls off a mono-colour look and C.P. Company beanie.

LEWIS HAMILTON

As hot in the wardrobe department as he is on the track, Lewis Hamilton is almost as well-known for his innate sense of style as he is for his driving skills. Well, that might be a bit of an over-statement, but he’s certainly always dapper and never one to shy away from making a statement. Be a good sport in a leather varsity jacket – guaranteed to be a winner.

DRAKE

Drake’s love of the iconic Italian brand Stone Island is no secret – he is in large part responsible for their sartorial State-side success. Amongst other fans of the compass patch including A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott, Drake’s unapologetically directional approach to dressing is applaudable. Take your cues from the Canadian rapper in monochrome, sports-inspired pieces and slick sneakers.

CONNOR MCGREGOR

On the face of it, there’s nothing exactly revolutionary about a T-shirt-and-jeans combination. However, McGregor’s absolute loyalty to Gucci is. He’s almost become a by-word for the Italian fashion house and their inimitable prints and iconic monogram. Be a style heavy weight in a statement Gucci Tee and Valentino jeans.

DAVID GANDY

No round-up of the world’s most stylish men would be complete without a reference to David Gandy. He is, by-and-large, considered to be a benchmark for style against which all other men are measured. Channel his effortlessly sophisticated look in soft tailoring and a colour palette of navy and neutrals.
