On his love of hair styling . . .
I’ve known since I was three years old that I wanted to work in the hair industry. I was inspired by my mother who was a stylist – she was a huge part of what encouraged me to get into hair. I guess you could say I followed in her footsteps. My first apprenticeship was at a salon in Mayfair straight out of school. I then went on to work with an emerging salon group where I progressed to be Editorial Director. It was then that I really began to forge my career in hair, working as a Session Stylist on global campaigns with music artists and celebrities, before going on to open my own salon, Hare & Bone in 2014.

On his style calling card . . .
I’m most known for technical cutting with a modern edge. I’m also a regular go-to for red carpet styling.

On his favourite hair and fashion moment . . .
The ‘60s were a pivotal moment in hair history, in particular when Twiggy first showcased her iconic pixie crop. For me this was an empowering moment for women that changed the face of hairdressing.

On looking after your hair . . .
Embrace your natural texture and own it. Use quality products and styling tools for your at-home haircare routine, these make all of the difference when it comes to the longevity of your hair health. Find the right hairdresser for you because a great cut is worth the investment.

Ponytails are being reinvented this season. Seen as a standout trend on the AW17 catwalks and a celebrity favourite, opt for accessories to embellish the look and plait detailing for a modern edge.

The reverse balayage is going to be the next big thing when it comes to colour techniques. As the name suggests, think lighter roots and darker ends with a multi-dimensional, blended finish.
