Style Advisor: Easy Summer Dressing

When it comes to summer dressing, the art is in striking the balance between cool-and-breezy and stylishly on-trend. Too bohemian and you risk looking scruffy – soaring temperatures are not an excuse to let your standards drop. On the flip side, summer is about relaxing, getting your shorts out and throwing on a (carefully considered) Tee. Trainers still have their place, but sliders are compulsory if, like us, you plan to spend your summer horizontal by a pool or chilling out by the sea. Just make sure you give your feet some much needed TLC before you inflict them on your fellow holiday-makers. From elevated swimwear to Cuban shirts, this is our guide to easy summer style.

Go from the city to the beach in one swift movement with a pair of understated swim shorts that you can just get away with in town. Remove the Givenchy Tee and Valentino Rockrunners and you’re ready to relax in the sun.

An iconic logo piece like Gucci’s Tee is a solid summer investment that will see you through to the next season. Pair with sporty white shorts and pool sliders for a street-aesthetic fit for the beach.

Summer is about having fun with your wardrobe. It’s a time for frivolity, and the irony of a ski-inspired print on Lanvin's short sleeved shirt isn’t lost on us. Team with a graphic Tee and a relaxed pair of shorts for a smart but humorous vacation look.
