Style Advisor: Stone Island SS18

The legacy of Stone Island’s founder Massimo Osti lives on in the new season collection. Masculine prints and modern silhouettes in the brand’s iconic materials and finishes mean SS18 has surpassed the high expectations we have of the Italian brand. From sweatshirts to jackets and Tees, here’s how to wear it.

True to Stone Island’s 30-year tradition of playing with reflective materials, the Reflective micro-range is a stylish boy’s toy that’s bound to make some headline appearances on the festival circuit this summer. We’re particularly into the para-military inspired gilet. Watch out below.

A perennial trend, camouflage is masculine, timeless, and makes everyone feel like a hero. Modelled on the Polish military archive, Stone Island developed the Alligator Camouflage print through hand painting and photographing a croc-inspired pattern. Be bold and double up with shorts and jacket in an all-over print.

Now in its 19th season, the Shadow Project SS18 collection is the culmination of the technical design and innovation the brand has refined over the last few decades. For those who don’t suffer from arachnophobia, the Spider print combines negative spaces and earth-inspired textures with long, loose and modern silhouettes.

Like camo, but monochromatic. The iconic Stone Island badge we all know and love melts into the body of each garment in an exclusive edition made only for the Ghost collection. Whilst it references pieces from the Stone Island archive, the minimalism and clean cut shapes that define Ghost have a uniquely modern appeal.
