Style Advisor: The Best London Fashion Week Looks

London. Fashion. Week. The fash pack were out in full force for the capital’s glittering line-up of shows, with style favourites including Adwoah Aboah, Bettina Looney and Sarah Harris serving up looks in the frow. At Victoria Beckham, Burberry and JW Anderson, the runways were awash with ladylike-chic, modern British style and futuristic elegance respectively. Meanwhile, outside, the street style was, as ever, an eclectic mix of alternative London fashion. From athletic utility to classic glamour, it drew as much attention as the new collections themselves. Here are some of our favourite trends, hot off the city streets.

Team big checks with small prints and even bigger frills. Be it blazers, blouses, or exaggerated hemlines, this look is all about balance. Pair statement checked pieces with softer layers and graceful metallic mules for a wearable day-to-night look.

The British love tweed and double-breasted blazers, but there is also something stylishly European about a jacket slung nonchalantly over delicate shoulders. Very fashion. This season, neutrals are still a style favourite. Keep things fresh with Balmain’s gold-spun weaves and Burberry’s masculine-cut trousers. It’s all about tonal layering.

Khaki has made a comeback, with safari-style, military-inspired pieces spotted on the streets of London. If you’re not ready to take on the full look, pair Saint Laurent’s iconic jacket with contrasting silken shorts and ultra-glam accessories.
