Style Advisor: The Best Street Style From LFWM

In terms of the weather it was a typical London weekend. Overcast, the sun trying to shine in East London. By comparison, the street style was anything but typical. The fashion crowd were out in full force for London Fashion Week Men’s, dressed to impress and there to see the city’s brightest design talent at the SS20 shows. From Kojey Radical in a grizzly hoodie and a jumpsuit, to LFWM regular Richard Biedul’s dapper suits, we could all learn a thing or two about style from these guys. dressStreetwear staples reigned supreme, from bum bags to bucket hats and dad sneakers, but there was also a notable shift in favour of more sophisticated tailoring and minimalist pieces. Here are some of our favourite looks from the weekend.

THE NEW TAILORING

Tailoring is having a bit of a renaissance, with a number of the LFWM crowd opting for a classic suit or mixing it up with smart separates. Showcase your sophistication with a statement Gucci blazer and formal trousers. Teamed with a pair of chunky trainers, the look is more street style savvy than your average two-piece and tie.

NEON ACCENTS

Last weekend proved that we’re still in the grip of a neon frenzy, with a number of fashion week attendees shining a light on new ways to wear fluorescent pieces. This season, elevate a not-so-basic Valentino Tee with some high-vis accessories in shades of white, black and green.

THE TRENCH REMIX

Burberry is a British institution, and the style set came out in full support of the house’s design codes. As there is no-where more fitting to don a Burberry trench than London, we suggest trying on one of their new season styles for size. Wear with streetwear staples like a bum bag and track pants to keep things fresh.
