The Wishlist: Front Row Fashion In Paris

We’re celebrating the beginning of Paris Fashion Week with a shortlist of the city’s most desirable on-schedule accessories. Everyone’s favourite Left Bank maison, Saint Laurent, and Valentino, a mainstay of the Paris schedule (despite their Italian heritage), are our favourites of the show season. They’ve both reimagined their staple accessories for AW17, breathing new life into old favourites and readying their iconic pieces for some front row action. You’re sure to see these shoes and bags on the arms (and feet) of the style set as they hit the FROW. The perfect way to inject your autumn wardrobe with some haute style.

VALENTINO STUD STITCHING HANDBAG

A beautifully soft pink ‘water rose’ shade of leather (a key for the season), delicate studs and a boxy shape speak to the classic heritage of Valentino whilst looking to the future. So chic.

SAINT LAURENT VELVET ANKLE BOOTS

Three key elements of the perfect AW17 wardrobe have been combined in these Saint Laurent must-haves: red, velvet and boots. Three words that should very much be in a sentence together, ideally in that order.

SAINT LAURENT VELVET KATE

Velvet. Tassels. The Iconic YSL monogram cast in gold. What’s not to like? We’ll be clutching this small but perfectly formed bag close as we hit the Paris shows (and throughout the season.)

VALENTINO ROCKSTUD 100

Strut your way in to autumn in a pair of Valentino’s Rockstud 100 heels. Their siren call is hard to ignore, especially as the Paris shows begin. Feminine and chic, they’re perfect for strolling down the Champs-Élyseés in, or for sitting curb side at a chic café.

VALENTINO MINI ROCKSTUD

Valentino first showed in Paris in 1975, when PFW was new, and has stayed there ever since. It’s a city close to the heart of Valentino: completely romantic and utterly escapist, city and brand have a lot in common.

SAINT LAURENT LOULOU

Named after Yves Saint Laurent’s muse and creative collaborator, Loulou de la Falaise, the Loulou is one of the maison’s most important bags, and a mainstay (much like its creator) of the French runways.
